Bayındır Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department is serving since the foundation of our hospital both in diagnosis and treatment.
Nuclear Medicine is the branch of science that evaluates the organ functions, structures, blood circulation by giving radioactive substances into the body via various ways and their physiological distribution and absorbance and by evaluation of images obtained; or performs treatments by radioactive substances. The amount of radioactivity given to the patient is very low and has no risk.
There is 1 Gamma Camera and 1 Bone Densitometer in our department. With Gamma Camera organ functions are evaluated and structural images are obtained. Our technical equipment is sufficient to perform all kinds of functional and morphological studies.
With Bone Densitometer, we can evaluate Bone Mineral Density.
Our department, serving 24 hours in emergency cases, has 1 physician and 2 technicians. Patients from other departments inside our hospitals or other hospitals are accepted, and the reports of our patients referred from other hospitals are shared and discussed with their doctors.
